Lana Bilzerian grew up surrounded by fashion. She is the eldest daughter of Be and Alan Bilzerian who own and operate Alan Bilzerian, a renowned boutique in Boston. While her father played a major role in bringing foreign fashion to America, Lana was fortunate to spend a great  deal of time with a host of fashion luminaries including close family friends Zandra Rhodes, Yohji Yamamoto and her Aunt Emmanuelle Khanh. 
 
Lana graduated from the Tisch School of Performing Arts at NYU and majored in acting. She has appeared in David Mamet’s The Winslow Boy and State and Main as well as theatre performances in New York City and Vermont. She has a small part in the newly released movie called Spartan also directed by David Mamet and staring Val Kilmer.

Before graduating from college, Lana became head designer of the Italian knitwear line Matilde. She transformed the small conservative line into a young and chic cashmere line targeting women of every age. As a result, Lana grew the Matilde line with her signature baby pockets and shrunken cardigans.

Lana launched her own knitwear company in 2002 to great acclaim and has recently been in Vogue UK, W in Korean and Oprah magazine in the United states.
